What is HE to India?

HE carries a picture of Lord Hanuman with him.He has portrait of Mahatma Gandhi hanging in his Senate office.Do these mean that his winning becomes a boon for India? The answer is MAY BE or MAY NOT BE(I know that the probability of this statement is one).Lets look at his stand so far:

About INDIA in general:
Facts:He realizes that India has the potential to become a superpower in the forthcoming years(even I know this!!!).He Knows that India is the largest democracy and it is important to have good relationship with us.Personally, he relates himself to India and Indians very well. He understands how difficult it is for Indians to come to US and begin a new life over there(as students or as professionals), because his father did the same thing(he came there with a student VISA) when he came from Kenya 45 years ago.
My Inferences and Judgments: I personally believe that he respects our culture. He understands the nitigrities of running a large democracy like ours and he respects the decisions we take.

About PAKISTAN:
Facts: Throughout his campaign , he has been more or less tough on Pakistan for not being able to counter terrorism in the best possible manner. He has been critical on Pervez's inablity to curb terrorism inspite of borrowing large funds from the US to address this issue. He believes that this money has been used for addressing other issues, especially ,the border issue with India. Infact he said, "If Pakistan fails to act on terrorism , we will....with or without Pakistan's consent."
My inferences and Judgements:He sounds great. Looks like a President who wants to know the reality and act accordingly. Its been quite sometime we had somebody like CLINTON and hopefully we have one now...

About N-deal:
Facts:He was initially one of the fellows who supported the 'killer amendment'(Killer amendment is an amendment made to a bill in order to make its passage difficult in the assembly. It is usually done by the opposition). But later on once the 'killer amendment' was rejected , he did not have any major say.So far,So good.
My inferences and Judgments:We need to wait and watch as to how the whole thing goes about once we are done with our elections next year. So far, the nuclear deal has been able to shake up,in fact break up coalitions and hopefully we will arrive at decision next year ( again, this is possible only if one of the parties has a clear majority..no more coalitions).

About Outsourcing:
Facts:He has been bold enough to say that he will give tax breaks for the companies that promote in-house jobs. He seriously considers giving a second thought to the companies that have been outsourcing the jobs to India and China, because today ,these companies enjoy a tax benefit on the revenue generated from the outsourced jobs.
My inferences and Judgments: The situation doesn't look great for the Indian IT industry especially the BPO's.But with the current level of interdependency and globalism, am not sure about how the whole process could be reversed.Anyways!!! it's not my job,it's HIS.

I have put down whatever I know and whatever I feel about his winning.Come January, you will know what HE actually is!!!!
Dear Readers, presenting before you the "HE"ro of your story...the first African-American president and sixth youngest ever to take on the reins of the oldest democracy in the world..Barack Hussein Obama, Jr.

PS:I have used the word "HE" 43 times and OBAMA only once. What does this say?..I included this because I felt my tone in the passage should be "GUARDED OPTIMISM".
